What is not to love about MAC Stereo Rose MSF ? If you have not experienced the awesomeness that is stereo rose then you are missing out. MAC Stereo Rose is a limited edition Mineralize Skinfinish released originally in the 2005 Goldplay Collection and re-released in the 2010 In The Groove Collection. Stereo Rose was again re-released in the 2013 Apres Chic Collection. Each time MAC re-releases Stereo Rose it sells out in a very short time. This MSF is highly coveted and I am glad to have it in my collection.
MAC Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish ($29.00 for 0.32 oz.) is described as a “coral with golden bronze shimmering nuances.” It’s a coral with subtle pink tones and a champagne-gold shimmer.(Temptalia)
This is by far my favorite MSF and so beautiful. It gives the prettiest glow to the cheeks. I am very fair-skinned I use this almost as a bronzer. Bronzer is always too much for my fair skin and looks way too dark even the lightest shades. This is just perfect. I recommend that if you are able to get your hands on this that you do.
Wear time for me is about 6 hours. I find that most of my MSF’s are about the same as far as wear time goes. This is highly reflective and can be overdone easily. So use care when applying. Also if you have large pores this can make them look even larger so avoid those areas.

Lets take a look at some photos now
I have an absolute unwavering love for this MAC’s Morange lipstick!! Morange is a beautiful neon orange lipstick. Somehow it is very wearable on me though. At first sight I thought there is no way I can pull off this lipstick! Somehow it just works for me. Morange is a matte lipstick with a really good formula. Morange is a one of MAC’s amplified formula lipsticks . Wear time is really good and after the lipstick has faded if I do not reapply I still have a really nice stained effect on my lips. I can make it to about 1 pm before I have to reapply and that’s with drinking my coffee and snacking! That is great in my book. You can pick up Morange on the MAC website or at any MAC counter.

Lets take a look at some pictures of this beautiful lipstick….
The pictures below are not my own and only for reference…
If you are like me and adore M.A.C’s back to MAC program AND have way too many lipsticks then you will need to get yourself a lipstick palette. The palette I am going to show you today is my first lipstick palette. It has served me well. It holds 12 lipsticks. I need to either make another palette or change to a bigger palette. I am considering trying out the Japonesque 35 well pro lipstick palette for $32.00.I have not purchased it yet because of the cost but I really like the look of it and I need the space.
O.K. onto my current lipstick palette. It is actually a bead organizer and was purchased on Amazon.com for only $4.39.You can get it here
This is my palette as it looks now.
Basically what you want to do is grab one of the empty round jars and remove the lid.Grab your lipstick and roll it all the way up…Find some kind of long skinny utensil to get all the lipstick from the tube and place all of this on a paper towel for easy clean up. Here is my set up. The lipstick I depotted here was Makeup Forever’s 506. #506 is a Matte intense red. The shade has been discontinued unfortunately.
I think this is pretty self explanatory but just in case somebody does not know I will explain. Roll up the lipstick and use your toolto cut off the top and place it in your bead container. Then use the tool to scoop out the inside of the tube. There is a LOT hidden inside the tube. Place that inside your bead container as well. Put the clear lid on and remove the sticker from your lipstick and place that on the bottom of your bead container. You now have one labeled depotted lipstick. YAY! Some people like to place the lipstick in a large spoon and melt it or place it in a microwave safe container and melt it that way. I do not. I find that it changes the consistency of my lipstick whenI do that as well as you run the risk of melting the bead container like the one in my picture below. Here are pictures of my depotting of the Makeup Forever 506 and my completed lipstick palette. Enjoy…
Do you have a lipstick palette? Do you prefer it over individual tubes? Will you be depotting after reading this? Please share..I love to read your comments…..
I hate to say I am a lipstick snob….but I sort of am. Now I am not proud of this. I know that I don’t need to spend $15+ on a lipstick for it to be a good lipstick. I guess there is just something magical about opening my purse and pulling out a beautiful tube of MAC lipstick and perfectly applying it at my desk that I just love. I’m hooked on MAC lipsticks. However, this review has nothing to do with that. A couple of months ago I spotted this gorgeous blue based fuchsia pink lipstick and thought wow that’s an amazing color. Could it really be as good as my more expensive lippies? Well I have put it off for a couple of months but this morning the color was calling to me as I opened my lipstick and gloss drawer. So let’s get to the review shall we.
I applied this lipstick to bare lips at 9 am this morning. I am not one to use lip liner except on rare occasions. When I do I always reach for chanel lip liner. They make the best in my opinion. Anyway it applied smoothly. It did not tug at my lips at all. It goes on with a glossy finish and has small silver glitter that is not too overpowering luckily. The color is as it looks in the tube amazing! It is slightly deeper then I usually wear but still a very nice wearable shade for me. I LOVE bright look at me lips.
Around noon I looked in the mirror and it had worn to a faint stain and needed reapplying. It had only very slightly bled into my fine lines. Nothing to drastic or anything. I re-applied and that lasted with the same end results for about another 4 hours before I again had to reapply it. If you look at the color of this lipstick in the pictures at the bottom of this post and then head over to my MAC Embrace Me Lipstick Review you will see that the colors look very similar. Eucalyptus being slightly deeper with a creamier texture and glossy while Embrace Me is more matte but still very close. So if you missed out on MAC’S limited edition Embrace Me you may want to pick this up instead. For the price there is no reason not to.
My overall opinion of this lipstick is that it is a really fun color and has a nice finish. I noticed no smell at all. The wear time is a little short compared to my higher end lipsticks but for the savings I suppose that applying a couple extra times a day is tolerable. I really love how the lipstick has a nice sharp point to it. I love that and always have preferred a sharp point to my lipsticks. If you are not bothered by reapplying every 4 hours or so then I would recommend giving this a try. The formula is really quit good. For the price and feel of this lipstick it is definitely a good deal. You can pick this up from NYX for only $4!!! Get it here.
Onto the pics now.

Urban Decay does it again. Every palette I have ever owned by Urban Decay has been a hit in my book. I picked up the Vice Palette for Christmas last year and have pulled it out a few times but it has mostly sat unused in my makeup drawers. A shame I know. I thought to myself this morning as I was getting ready that I really should do a review on it. So I got my butt in gear and got to swatching.
My number 1 complaint with this palette is that the outside case is IMPOSSIBLE to keep clean. As you will see in my pics. I can deal with it though because the quality of the shadows is as usual with Urban Decay amazing! The palette itself is stunning to look at. All those colors….Neutrals and brights mixed into one amazing perfect for travel palette. I do believe this is a gift from the gods…
O.K. lets talk about application. For a base I always use the same thing . Either a MAC paint pot or Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. Lately I have used my MAC Paint Pots exclusively. So most of the shadows in this palette apply smooth and blend like a dream. With the exception of Jagged, Muse and Provocateur. The 3 I just named are great as well but they do contain large chunks of glitter that for some will bother them. For me it is a non issue. I always apply my shadow BEFORE my face makeup. Thanks Wayne Goss for getting me in the habit of that!! That allows me to wipe away the fallout without ruining my foundation and the rest of my face makeup.
As for the length of wear that these shadows provide I am able to apply my eye makeup at 8 a.m. and when I come home at 6 p.m. in the evening my eyes are as fresh as when I applied my makeup that morning….Pretty freaking awesome. I have left my eye makeup on till 10 p.m. just to see if it would last that long and guess what? It did!
Blending is not an issue at all. I am able to blend my crease out perfectly to whatever look I desire that particular day. As for pigmentation these shadows perform amazingly well. As you will see in my swatches there are only a couple that lack pigmentation and those colors are the lighter shades and so it may actually not be a pigmentation issue at all but rather that the shade is just a lighter shade. The Urban Decay Vice Palette is sadly no longer available as it was a limited edition item. I did not even realize that they were no longer being sold intill I started to write this review and wanted to supply a link for purchase,
This is an amazing Palette and if you can get your hands on one you really should. It will be a welcome addition to any makeup junkies collection for sure. You can shop Urban Decay here http://www.urbandecay.com/
Lets get on to the swatches shall we…
STANDOUT SHADES: BLITZ, CHAOS, UNHINGED, VICE, NOISE, NEVERMIND, ECHO BEACH AND LACED….
Those above are my top faves from this palette. I am now going to show some pics of the rest of the actual palette. I will also show the brush. The brush it comes with has an all over shadow end and a blending end. It is a rather decent brush for a palette to come with. Especially if you think of the dinky little sponge tips Dior provides. Someone tell me what is up with that!
You can see all the finger prints on the outside of the palette. That is hard to prevent with this material and can not really be helped. All in all it does not really bother me though.
Here are pics of todays eye look using Blitz on the lid and Muse in my crease.

I just want to drop a quick line before I get started on my latest beauty review. I started this blog with the intention of Ramblings focusing on solely beauty….Ramblings does and will always focus on beauty. However, it seems that through out my day there are things that I just cant but help share with you. Such as my incredibly cheap iPhone fix the other day. I mean really how could I keep such awesomeness to myself only??? As a result of this I am now deeming Ramblings a beauty and lifestyle blog. That does not mean that Ramblings is going to change at all. It only means that if I have something to share with everyone I will be able to do so without feeling like I am going out of my niche. I see Ramblings as a place we can all come and discuss anything that is going on with our lives. If it pertains to beauty or fashion or savings or great reads even. I feel like this is a much better fit for Ramblings then limiting myself to only reviews. Reviews will always be a huge part of Ramblings but now I feel more at ease announcing this official change to you because I hate having something to share with you all and feeling like I do not know how it will be received if it does not fall under the beauty category. This keeps that from being an issue. So there you have it folks…Ramblings From A Lipstick Addict is officially a Beauty and Lifestyle Blog….
What do you all think about that?? Do you think this is a good change or a bad change?? If you are not a blogger what would you call your blogs niche if you were a blogger? And if you are a blogger what is your niche?
I must share I am so excited!!! I broke my iPhone 4 screen recently… I purchased a new screen, LCD display and tools from a company in China for $25 !!!!! I used eBay of course. After countless YouTube videos and 3 painstaking hours my iphone is fixed! Best of all I only paid $25!!!! Wow a really great quality screen and free installation( curtesy me) and my Monday rocks. I love eBay and YouTube for these very reasons. Note: changing the iphone 4 screen is a pain in the A** but oh so worth it….
